VintageWeightsPGH is always coming across interesting stuff. Most recently he listed some dumbbells from the University of Pittsburgh Weight Room. They went from 12.5 to 35 pounds in 2.5 pound increments. Knurled handles welded to steel heads. Nebula was bought by Rogue Fitness in 2012.
I was interested for a couple of reasons. First, I like logo'd stuff and "Pitt Panthers" is pretty cool. Second, I am curious about Nebula, the knurling, etc. Finally, if I could get the 12.5s and 17.5s they would make nice fillers between my York dumbbell set.
They were originally listed for $700 ($1.50/lb) local pick up and then dropped to $600 local pick up ($1.25/lb). I would be willing to pay $1.50/lb plus shipping for individual sets.
