SYQQ Barbell Collars

If there were ever an over the top collar this is it.  For $139 which includes shipping the barbell clamps could be all mine.

I will admit that I am a sucker for unique and premium equipment.

In the world of strength training barbell clamps are the equivalent of the mousetrap.  Everybody seems to agree that there has to be a better way.

I despise spring collars

Plastic collars never hold

I do like the OSO collars and have a couple of pairs

Eleiko came out with the Open Collars

Screw down collars exist

Competition collars are out there as well

UPDATE 2/25/2022:  I held off as long as I could, but finally broke down and ordered a pair of these.

UPDATE 3/3/2022:  These arrived well packaged.  I opened them to find a very nicely finished product.  They weighed in at 461 grams and 462 grams.  Within 1 gram of each other and less than 10 grams over the stated weight.  But, they would not fit on my barbells which measured at:

Eleiko - 1.965 inches

Rogue Beater - 1.967 inches

Rogue Bella - 1.961 inches

They fit perfectly on my Rep Axle 1.945 inches

I will be getting a full refund, but hard to believe 2 hundreths of an inch make that much of a difference.
