Gym Radar is a pretty cool site developed by Massenomics to build community in the home gym space. Free version allows posting pictures, reviews and equipment listing. The equipment list is pretty extensive for what it is and users can request new listings. In addition to being able to compare gym location and equipment, there are also reviews which are slowly being populated.
UPDATE 4/17/2026 - 377 points, need 641 to break into the top 100
I have been getting increasingly sucked into Gym Radar. Gyms are tracked with points
- Bronze 0-250
- Silver 251-500
- Gold 501-1,000
- Home Gym Nerd 1001-2000
- Elite Home Gym Nerd 2001+
As of today, you need 641 points to break into the top 100. It seems like there are roughly 700ish gyms listed. I currently have 114 pieces of equipment listed. If I were to do reviews on all of them with photos that would be an additional 912 points. I am going to start working towards that goal. Ideally taking 10 pictures per day and writing reviews. I could get Nerd status, but elite Nerd would take some doing.
UPDATE 4/29/2026 - 564 points, need 654 to break into the top 100
UPDATE 6/3/2026 - 615 points, need 691 to break into the top 100
Elite Home Gym Nerd - 2001+ points - (16)
Home Gym Nerd - 1000+ points (44)
UPDATE 6/5/2026 - 843 points (sitting at 95th with my 726 total points from yesterday)
UPDATE 6/9/2026 - 1,008 (sitting in 61st place and have achieved Home Gym Nerd status). The next will be the 2000 point threshold which is not reasonable for me. With 133 pieces of equipment and 101 reviews. Top score would be 32x8 = 256 more point on equipment reviews and another 100 being a certified gym and finally another 30-40 for adding equipment pictures to reviews. 1250 is a good goal, with 1500 being the most likely top score. That would be good company. There is also plenty of equipment I own that is not part of the Equipment Tracker.
1st - 5,209 (Brandon Tunquist)
10th - 2,392
20th - 1,756
40th - 1,233
50th - 1,068
UPDATE 6/13/2026 - 1,207 (sitting in 43rd place) and not much room to move up.
UPDATE 6/15/2026 - 1,333 (sitting in 32nd place). Potential points = 13x3=39 pictures, 6x8=48 reviews with pictures, 100 points certification = 1,420. Of course, they are always adding new equipment to the tracked list. The 2,000+ point Elite Home Gym Nerd is still a pipe dream, but his has been fun.
UPDATE 6/19/2026 - 1,468 (sitting in 28th place). I added the certification but am now nearly tapped out. I am running out of potential points, but they are constantly adding new gear that I already own. Remaining list of potential reviews or pictures needed
