Since 2010, I have managed to assemble a $6,557 garage gym.  

I have flipped some equipment as I have upgraded and if they are being under utilized (net $537 profit)

I also seem to have a bit of overflow with my Concept2 Rower ($990), gymnastics mat, Cybex Flat Bench, (2) abmats, 8 lb medball, J-box 12-12-8 set, Muscle Driver Clock, Rep Colorado Flag, Titan Silencer Pads, Bulgarian Bag in storage ($1,627)

I also have some vintage plates and dumbbells that track separately (Currently at $1,045 Yikes!)

I have been performing strength and conditioning workouts since 1985 (at the ripe age of 14 years).  My home gym started with a DP bench and 110# of standard iron plates.  I bought some plastic encased concrete plates from yard sales.  I had access to the Germantown High School weight room.  My programming was from Arnold Schwarzenegger's Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding.  

Since that time, I have always owned a bicycle and a pair of running shoes.  For the vast majority of the intervening years, I have had access to a commercial gym (Purdue, StorageTek, Sun, Oracle).  My programming and technique was always a combination of bro science and the occasional article in Muscle and Fitness magazine.  Since 2015 I have been smitten with the Crossfit methodology and have sought technique improvement and high intensity interval training.
